About this journey
Follow the old caravan road south from Marrakech through the kasbahs and palm groves of the Draa Valley. You explore the ksar of Aït Benhaddou with a local guide, sleep in guesthouses overlooking the oasis, visit the Tamnougalt kasbah and see rock engravings that predate every building in the valley. Quiet, beautiful and rich in story.

Day by day
- 1
Day 1 · Marrakech to Aït Benhaddou
Cross the Atlas pass and spend the afternoon exploring the ksar of Aït Benhaddou. Overnight in a guesthouse overlooking the valley.

Day 2 · The Draa Valley
Follow the old caravan road south: endless date palms, the Tamnougalt kasbah and a night in Agdz beneath the palm grove.

Day 3 · Back north
Visit the rock engravings on the plateau, lunch in Ouarzazate and the descent back to Marrakech by evening.
